hei, my name is ingaa
i am an artist and i create multi-part paintings, which can be connected and rearranged in different ways - visualising connection and the construction thereof.
on the canvas, i transform my own experiences of relationships to my environment, myself and my heritage into symbols and abstract shapes in vivid yellows, pinks and purples.
my work is rooted in the idea that everything is connected and that we have a responsibility to care for one another and the natural world because of our interconnectedness.
at the same time, i want to show that our perception of connections is highly subjective and arbitrarily constructed. i aim to make you question your perception, your beliefs and your reality.
through rearranging my paintings, endless cycles, new relationships and new meanings are formed - thereby allowing you, the viewer, to explore your own connections to your environment, yourself and time.
